FISICO (Festival Internazionale del Teatro Fisico di Alba) è un festival dedicato al teatro fisico in tutte le sue forme. Inaugurato nel 2020 il festival è arrivato alla sua quarta edizione caratterizzandosi come unico festival italiano dedicato specificatamente al teatro fisico.
Obiettivo del festival è proporre spettacoli che abbiano come mezzo di comunicazione principale l’espressione corporea abbattendo qualsiasi barriera linguistica, essendo di conseguenza fruibili ad un pubblico di qualsiasi nazionalità.
La direzione di FISICO intende proporre la quarta edizione il 17, 18, 19 novembre 2023 nella città di Alba (Cuneo).
La call è diretta a compagnie professionali nazionali ed internazionali in ambito teatrale, che hanno in repertorio spettacoli di teatro fisico e gestuale nelle sue diverse accezioni (teatro gestuale, clown, mimo, teatro danza ecc.). Gli spettacoli devono avere uno sviluppo drammaturgico di espressione corporea e non verbale, ovvero essere non parlati o, qualora vi sia testo parlato, che questo non impedisca la comprensione dello spettacolo da un pubblico di diverse nazionalità.
Tra gli spettacoli proposti la direzione sceglierà 4 spettacoli da presentare al festival.
Alle compagnie selezionate verrà richiesto di effettuare una rappresentazione al giorno per un totale di due o tre rappresentazioni a seconda delle esigenze di programmazione e gli spazi disponibili.
Gli spettacoli avranno luogo in spazi chiusi, principalmente all’interno della sala storica del Teatro Sociale di Alba e in altri spazi minori.
Le compagnie selezionate riceveranno un cachet fisso totale di 700 euro per 2 rappresentazioni o di 900 euro nel caso di 3 rappresentazioni dal vivo.
Ad uno degli spettacoli verrà riconosciuto il premio della giuria, la giuria è composta dai nostri volontari; il premio è un riconoscimento simbolico e non prevede denaro.
Alle compagnie verrà inoltre chiesto di partecipare ad un momento di incontro aperto e informale con il pubblico che si terrà la domenica mattina in un caffè cittadino, l’incontro sarà mediato dallo staff del festival e dai volontari e coinvolgerà tutte le compagnie ospiti.
Vitto e alloggio saranno a carico dell’organizzazione. Rimangono a carico delle compagnie le spese di viaggio dal proprio luogo di residenza alla città di Alba. Sono a carico della compagnia invitata eventuali spese INPS ex Enpals.
Linee guida per la selezione degli spettacoli:
Ad aggiunta a quanto sopra specificato la direzione comunica quanto segue:
- Gli spettacoli dovranno avere una durata minima di 50 minuti;
- Gli spettacoli dovranno avere una scheda tecnica base, la natura degli spazi individuati non permette di soddisfare eventuali richieste specifiche per quanto riguarda la schede tecniche complesse (a titolo esemplificativo ma non esaustivo: disegno luci con notevole complessità, black box, uso di tappeti danza, richieste sulla disposizione di palco…);
- La direzione predilige spettacoli che non prevedono interazioni con il pubblico (spettatori chiamati sul palco ecc.) o ne prevedono interventi minimi;
- La direzione, per questa edizione, non considererà spettacoli basati sull’uso di videoproiezioni;

La call scade il 30 giugno 2023, la direzione si impegna a contattare le compagnie selezionate entro il 30 agosto 2023.
Durante la procedura di applicazione dovrà essere fornito il video completo dello spettacolo proposto. Non saranno considerate proposte di spettacolo senza video.
Le lingue ufficiali del festival, anche per la presentazione del materiale da parte delle compagnie, sono l’italiano o l’inglese.

CALL NOTICE FOR PHYSICAL SHOWS 2023
International Festival of Physical Theater of Alba
DEADLINE: 30 JUNE 2023
FISICO (International Physical Theater Festival of Alba) is a festival dedicated to physical theater in all its forms. Inaugurated in 2020, the festival has reached its fourth edition, characterizing itself as the only Italian festival specifically dedicated to physical theatre.
The aim of the festival is to offer shows that have bodily expression as the main means of communication, breaking down any linguistic barrier, and consequently being accessible to an audience of any nationality.
The management of FISICO intends to propose the fourth edition on 17th, 18th and 19th November 2023 in the city of Alba (Cuneo).
The call is aimed at national and international professional theater companies, which have physical and gestural theater performances in their repertoire in its various meanings (gestural theatre, clown, mime, dance theater, etc.). The shows must have a dramatic development of body and non-verbal expression, i.e. be non-spoken or, if there is spoken text, this must not prevent the understanding of the show by an audience of different nationalities.
Among the shows proposed, the management will choose four shows to be presented at the festival.
The selected companies will be asked to perform one performance per day for a total of two or three performances depending on programming needs and available spaces.
The shows will take place in enclosed spaces, mainly within the historic hall of the Teatro Sociale of Alba and in other smaller spaces.
The selected companies will receive a total fixed fee of 700€ for two performances or 900€ in the case of three live performances.
The jury will award one of the shows with a prize, the jury is made up of our volunteers; the prize is a symbolic recognition and does not include money.
The companies will also be asked to participate in an open and informal meeting with the public to be held on Sunday morning in a city café, the meeting will be lead by the festival staff and volunteers and will involve all guest companies.
Food and accomodation will be paid by the organization. The travel expenses from one’s place of residence to the city of Alba will be charged to the companies, same for any INPS (ex Enpals )expenses.
Show Selection Guidelines:
In addition to the above, the management communicates the following:
– The shows must have a minimum duration of 50 minutes;
– The shows must have a basic technical sheet, the nature of the identified spaces does not allow to satisfy any specific requests regarding the complex technical sheets (by way of example but not limited to: lighting design with considerable technical complexity, black box, use of dance floors , requests on the layout of the stage or seats that cannot be fulfilled);
– The management prefers shows that do not involve interactions with the public (spectators called onto the stage, etc.) or require minimal interventions;
– The management will not consider shows based on the use of video projections;

The call expires on 30 June 2023, the management undertakes to contact the selected companies by 30 August 2023.
During the application procedure, the complete video of the proposed show must be provided.
Show proposals without video will not be considered.
The official languages of the festival, also for the presentation of the material by the companies, are Italian or English.
