BrancaccioDanza apre le iscrizioni alla 6ª edizione del workshop per danzatori:
Dopo il successo delle precedenti edizioni, il progetto ideato dalla regista e coreografa Alessia Gatta torna con una grande novità: quattro giorni intensivi e immersivi di ricerca, creazione e doppio spettacolo nella suggestiva sala teatro del Brancaccino, nel cuore di Roma.
Un’esperienza unica: uno spazio di condivisione dove la danza diventa linguaggio, esplorazione e innovazione che darà l’opportunità ai partecipanti di esibirsi in uno spettacolo in doppia replica.
Un percorso esclusivo: un programma dedicato a danzatori che desiderano connettersi con il linguaggio di coreografi internazionali, affinare la propria arte e mettersi in gioco in una creazione originale.
Negli anni, il workshop ha ospitato artisti del calibro di Afshin Varjavandi, Alessia Gatta, Eliana Stragapede, Georgios Kotsifakis, Gianni Wers, James Olivo, Jesus Guia, Lorenzo Di Rocco, Jennifer Rosati, Micheal Lohr, Miguel Altunaga Verdecia, Noemi Dalla Vecchia, Matteo Vignali, Rudi Cole, Julia Robert, Tea Min Jung, Tom Davis Dunn.
Per questa sesta edizione, avremo l’onore di lavorare con Francesco Gammino, che guiderà i danzatori selezionati in una creazione esclusiva.
Uno spettacolo su un palcoscenico d’eccezione: lo spettacolo finale sarà inserito nel Festival Internazionale di Danza e Cultura Contemporanea – Futuro Roma, con duplice replica il 25 maggio 2025 negli spazi del Brancaccio di Roma, accanto a compagnie e artisti di chiara fama internazionali.
💡 Il concept di #unmetrocubo: il limite simbolico entro cui vivere, convivere e superare i propri confini attraverso il movimento. Un viaggio artistico che culmina in uno spettacolo unico.

FRANCESCO GAMMINO
Un artista poliedrico, un coreografo di talento, un interprete dalla carriera internazionale.
Ha danzato per Monica Casadei con la compagnia Artemis Danza e calcato il prestigioso palcoscenico dell’Arena di Verona nelle produzioni di Aida, La Traviata e Il Barbiere di Siviglia.
È interprete e curatore di From I to A per il festival Visa to Dance in Tanzania e ha portato la sua arte in giro per il mondo con tournée in Italia e Asia per Notre Dame de Paris, oltre a collaborare con la Spellbound Dance Company di Mauro Astolfi.
Ha creato coreografie per Michele Merola (Agora Coaching Project – Terraferma) e per Michele Pogliani (MP3 Project), ricevendo prestigiosi riconoscimenti, tra cui il Tanzolymp di Berlino, il Roma Dance Award, il premio Danzasì e il Concorso Internazionale “Città di Spoleto”.
Co-direttore artistico di #140danza d’autore e del gala Moncalvo in Danza 2019, è stato guest teacher allo YAGP 2019 in Messico e al Monterrey Ballet Gala 2020.
Tra i suoi numerosi premi spiccano il Premio della Critica IDC “Spoleto 2021” e il titolo di Miglior Coreografo al Premio Domenico Modugno.
Le sue coreografie hanno preso vita con compagnie di rilievo come il Balletto di Parma, la Dellatre Dance Company (Germania) e la MN Dance Company (Slovenia).

After the success of previous editions, the project—conceived by director and choreographer Alessia Gatta—returns with an exciting new format: four immersive days of research, creation, and performance in the stunning Brancaccino Theater, in the heart of Rome.
A Unique Experience
A space for sharing, where dance becomes a language of exploration and innovation. Participants will have the opportunity to perform in a double-run show as part of this intensive artistic journey.

Over the years, the workshop has hosted world-renowned artists, including:

Choreographer guest
FRANCESCO GAMMINO
A versatile artist, talented choreographer, and internationally acclaimed performer.
He has danced for Monica Casadei with the Artemis Danza company and graced the prestigious stage of the Arena di Verona in productions of Aida, La Traviata, and The Barber of Seville.
As both performer and curator, he presented From I to A at the Visa to Dance Festival in Tanzania and toured across Italy and Asia with Notre Dame de Paris. He has also collaborated with the Spellbound Dance Company by Mauro Astolfi.
