“The Path of Actions” offers a transformative journey with both pedagogical and performative aims.
About the Workshop
Divided into two immersive parts, this workshop offers a unique blend of indoor and outdoor training experiences. Participants will engage in intense training and material creation within the workshop space before transitioning to adapt their work to open environments, including nature’s serene landscapes like woods, beaches, and fields.
Workshop Highlights
Explore the actor’s dramaturgy from training to character creation.
Dive deep into scenic action, encompassing physical, vocal, and inner dimensions.
Develop individual characters through improvisation, physical composition, and thematic exploration of “Elsewhere”.
Craft scores of actions and bring them to life in both working room and natural settings.
Daily Schedule
First Part: “Pre-Expressive” Moment
Psycho-physical training inspired by theatrical masters of the 20th century.
Focus on physical, vocal, and inner actions.
Individual and group exercises to enhance stage presence and creativity.
Second Part: “Expressive” Moment
Creative exploration of the theme “Elsewhere” through character creation and monologue.
Utilisation of texts and props to enrich character development.
Crafting original staging with attention to detail, from scenic composition to costume selection.
Theme of Creative Process
Inspired by Gaston Bachelard’s “The Poetics of Space”, the workshop delves into the psychological and philosophical realms of our perceptions of houses and shelters. Participants will navigate the tension between past memories and future dreams, giving life to characters suspended in their personal “Elsewhere”.

- 6000 Dkk. / approx. 805,00 € Regular price
- 5000 Dkk. / approx. 671,00 € Early Bird – apply before 12th of May

*Students need to provide student card or other educational certificate to get the student price
Included in the price
- Full workshop including work demonstrations, meetings and all activities according to workshop program
- Access to working spaces and common areas, such as Music room, Library, Archive and Video room
- Accommodation in shared room, bathroom and showers
- Kitchen facilities to prepare and eat inducing fridges to keep personal food
- Access to washing machine
